Working for our team, you can truly make a difference.        The Guillotine Cutter is responsible for cutting sheets of labels into smaller bundles. The Operator loads sheets into a machine to remove excess material and prepares the labels to be finished.       Why work at MCC:    
  • Compensation: Starting at $17.52 - up (based on experience) 
  • This is a Multi-Shift Position (must be available 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift)
  • $  .55 2nd shift pay differential / $1.50 3rd shift pay differential

  Responsibilities:    
  • Insert lifts of sheeted labels into cutting machine to trim off edges and cut labels into rows.
  • Program cut points and clamp pressure to ensure labels are cut into correct size.
  • Jog and straighten all sheet lifts once inserted into the machine so all sheets are cut accurately.
  • Remove flawed products and dispose of excess trimmings into proper bins.
  • Install new slitting blades as needed to produce clean and smooth cuts.
  • Count bundles of cut labels to ensure order sizes are accurately met, load bundles onto skids.
  • Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone.
  • Related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:    
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free.  Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
  • Competence in counting, measuring, and quality checking.
  • Detail oriented and can focus for long periods of time.
  • Ability to read and follow all specifications on the job jacket.
  • Capable of working in a team environment and alone with a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time.
  • Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
