Escrow Officer

The Escrow Officer leads the Escrow team in facilitating the process for clients selling and buying properties. In this role, the Escrow officer will be responsible for ensuring the property titles are clear, outstanding debts have been paid, all financial obligations have been met according to the contract, and that the real estate agreements are authentic. The Escrow Officer will also handle the disbursement of funds and the processing of legal paperwork to finalize the transaction. The Escrow Officer should demonstrate exceptional decision-making skills, advanced clerical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verifying the accuracy of real estate contracts
- Effectively coordinating buyers, sellers, real estate agents and lending institutions
- Reviewing title commitments for liens and delinquent taxes
- Preparation of accurate ALTA statements
- Ensuring all financial obligations have been met by the seller and the buyer.
- Ability to create and balance CDs
- Accurate disbursement of funds
- Adherence to service excellence standards of performance
- Maintains office appearance
- Assist team whenever needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Typing
- Basic computer skills
- Microsoft Word
- Experience with Title & Escrow software
Minimum Education Requirements:
High School Diploma
Minimum Experience Requirements:
Demonstration of mastery of Escrow Processor duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Title Insurance License
