We Are Looking For…

A Pharmacist to oversee the operations of our Medication Support Program, Sona Access, and play a pivotal role in our community by ensuring that our patients, caregivers, and referral sources receive the medication, care, and support that they need to keep our patients at home, healthy, and independent for as long as possible.

What will your day look like?

  • Direct the Access workflow and pharmacy staff engaged in counting, filling, packaging, labeling, and delivering medications
  • Oversee the Synmed multi-dose adherence packaging robot operations
  • Assess patient's needs and drive medication adherence through counseling, motivational interviewing, multi-dose pill packaging, pharmacy problem-solving, and critical thinking
  • Regularly consult with patients and/or their caregivers to discuss specific pharmacy-related issues, including diabetes medication management, COPD management, supplement use, pain medications, adherence packaging, etc
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with physicians, referral sources, and other healthcare professionals
  • This position will also serve as a trusted advisor and mentor to our pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns, pharmacy students, front-end associates, and delivery drivers.
Requirements:

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
  • PharmD degree preferred
  • Active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and follow-through abilities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster both internal and external relationships
  • Must be well-organized and able to prioritize tasks and document actions in a fast-changing environment
