Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Teacher to join our team at Kay's Learning Academy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants, fostering their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. This role requires a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and colleagues to ensure the best care and education for our youngest learners.

Duties

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities to promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and daily activities.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children at all times.
  • Follow all state licensing guidelines and center policies and procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of each child's development and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.


Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (required)
- NC Early Childhood Credential or its equivalent (preferred) EDU 119 (or willingness to obtain)
or
At least one year ofexperience in a center working with infants.

*Pay based on experience and educational background

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
-ITS SIDS certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days).
-Successful completion of background checks, TB test, and health screening (required before starting).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the well-being of each child.
