  • Estimates food and beverage costs and requisitions or purchases supplies.
  • Confers with food preparation and other personnel to plan menus and related activities such as dining room, bar and banquet operations
  • Inspects food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
  • Reviews financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure efficient operation and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations.
  • Trains workers in performance of duties.
  • Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations.
  • Supervises serving of meals.
  • Inspects kitchen and dining areas and kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met.
  • Keeps records such as amount and cost of meals served and hours worked by employees.
  • Requisitions and inspects food, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock
  • Directs preparation of foods and beverages.
  • Completes monthly Profit & Loss to ensure efficient operations and stay on target 
  • Monitors market and internal trends to assess and change food and beverage pricing as needed.
  • Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meets requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations.
  • Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, patron attendance and labor costs to prepare budget to maintain cost control of facility operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   High school degree or GED.  Associates degree (AA) or Bachelors degree from a four year college or university in Business Management, Food Service or a related discipline with progressively responsible leadership experience.  Minimum 3+ years experience in progressive food service operations environment, preferably at attractions and/or theme park with high volume entertainment venue or museum; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Qualified candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule 12-8pm or 2pm-10pm shifts in a fast paced environment.  Wonderworks is open 7 days a week from 9am-midnight.  This position requires weekend and holiday availability.
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands and/or fingers to operate register, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds amid a moderate to loud work environment.
  • Our ideal candidate will be able to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must complete TIPS training
