Position Type: Full Time

Shift/Schedule: 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm - Monday thru Friday with O/T

Wage: $21.00 per hour


Purpose of PositionThis position is a shared role where you will be responsible for managing and maintaining traffic scheduling and customer orders within the following systems: GMI, SAP, Open Dock, and ASC. Providing customer service through daily activities related to warehouse operations along with interactions with carriers, customers, additional warehouses and management personnel. Dedicated tasks will be assigned with focus to Traffic/Carrier support and Customer Service support. The expectation and training plan will include cross training on all function’s incumbent of the Operations Planner role.

Display pride in your work area by maintaining daily housekeeping of our operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, smoke areas, etc… Promote teamwork and assist in all areas and processes in the operation as needed / required.


Quality of Work: Maintains high standards despite pressing deadlines. Produces accurate, thorough and professional work. Understands the importance of “Only Handle It Once – OHIO”, by completing work correctly the first time.


Follows directions: Follows all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leader, etc…


Communication:Shares all information in a professional and factual manner ensuring the best decisions are made for the company. Report all issues to your manager/supervisor.


Appearance: Maintains an appropriate appearance and dresses in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.


Safety: Follows all rules, guidelines, and practices. Informs supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.


Position Competency

  1. Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively in a timely manner.
  2. The ability to build a good relationship with the team, to include customers, carriers and Allen.
  3. Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Outlook.
  4. Knowledge of SAP, ASC and Open Dock.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong attention to detail.
Position Expectations

Productivity

  • Daily Responsibilities – Traffic/Carrier support
  • Scheduling of all inbound and outbound loads
  • Tracking appointment within customer specific systems
  • Identifying priority loads and communicating to teams.
  • Assignment and entry into systems for load check ins/outs
  • Daily audits of trailer/lot checks
  • Communicate inbound and outbound schedules.
  • Work with interplant transfers.


  • Daily Responsibilities – Customer Service support
  • Ensure all systems reflect correct item information, including the updating of any new or changed items.
  • Verification of open/close orders
  • Create and distribute the following reports:
  • Discrepancy Report
  • Daily Receipts
  • Daily Shipments
  • Over/Short Report
  • Verify and enter all damages and follow process for inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate all shortages to customer and request product to fulfill loads.

Quality

  • Maintains all documents in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Maintains inventory and ensures accuracy through audit and cycle counts.
  • Report any issue related to quality issues to management immediately. Safety & Security
  • Follow all food, safety and security SOP’s and guidelines.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, equipment/product damages and injuries to management immediately.
  • Wear required PPE – eye protection, safety toed shoes, and safety apparel.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings including stretching.

Customer Service

  • Interface directly with the customer and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.
  • Ensure customer requests are responded to immediately. Provides follow- up to customers to ensure that a problem is resolved or being worked on.

General

  • Communicate company information via pre-shift meetings as directed by Management.
  • Continuously evaluate ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of department. (Identifying at least one significant improvement annually).
  • Must have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety.
