Position Overview

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring, processing, and performing routine QC checks to ensure operational processes are in control, products meet company, customer, and industry standards/specifications, and we are in compliance with all USDA regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform QC inspection and verification of daily production activities including pre-ops, product inspections, and product/environmental temperature monitoring.
  • Preform facility audit and partake in internal audit
  • Conduct micro environmental and product sampling for microbiological testing
  • Completes QC daily checklist, and reviews daily production records for accuracy
  • Provide training for employees using the Alchemy system or PowerPoint or written SOPs.
  • Work closely and engage with QC technicians
  • Maintains a working knowledge of and adheres to company policies and procedures department to maintain records are upkeep, completed, and available for audit.
  • Assist QA Manager in the development, updates, and implementation of policy and procedures.
  • Other Tasks as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

College degree preferred but not necessary depending on work experience

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in a food processing environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous experience working in a meat processing environment preferred
  • Professional demeanor
  • Must be an effective verbal and written communicator

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in a meat processing environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • HACCP Certification
