Essential Duties
- Greeting customers and co-workers and providing best-in-class customer service with a smile
- Receiving and validating the correct count of incoming part shipments
- Shipping parts – coordinating activities with delivery drivers and outbound freight carriers
- Stocking and pulling inventory, including organizing shelves and rotating stock
- Assisting with inventory control functions, maintaining accurate bin locations, quantity verifications
- Maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse and clean workspace
- Providing occasional delivery service
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift certification (will perform in-house)
- Minimum one-year warehouse inventory stocking experience is a plus.
- Minimum one year transportation or heavy-duty trucking parts experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to understand financial information as it pertains to dealership operations
- Possess experience in working with computerized inventory control systems.
- Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Possess the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with only limited resources.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
