Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for supporting the development of technical strategies into solutions within designed architecture environments, leveraging a wide variety of solution approaches such as GOTS, COTS, custom development, or Open Source.
  • Provide enterprise systems engineering with consideration of resiliency, systems of systems, affordability, and accelerated capability delivery.
  • Draft the technical strategy on how to migrate, integrate, mature, and test each solution set. The strategy should be consistent, comprehensive, repeatable, and adaptable for use now and for future increments of each program or project.
  • Review technology requirements, applications, and research assessments of the state-of-the-art, the state-of-the-practice, and technological opportunities.
  • Analyze the technical underpinnings of information sharing and architecture to develop the transport, enterprise services, data, application, and mission assurance design tenets for the end-to-end aspect that comprise applications.
  • Apply unique aspects of scientific, engineering, and specialty engineering principles and techniques to analyze alternatives and incorporate design features which meets requirements.
  • Utilize systematic methods and technical skills to design and guide the development process.
  • Apply system security engineering principles in the design and development process.
  • Apply iterative software development methodologies and tools to deliver, design, and utilize systems.
  • Develop actionable approaches, explore concepts, and prove feasibility ensuring mission-oriented investigation and experimentation activities occur.
  • Develop mission and threat analysis to support the development of products and processes for operational use. It shall also include independent analysis and exploitation of intelligence products, and the preparation of threat assessment packages tailored to life cycle needs.
  • Assist product owners by providing support to the overall systems engineering process.
  • Assess impact of the originally defined capabilities and interfaces, performance parameter thresholds and objectives, and the overall system when defining and modifying interfaces throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Document all system interface requirements, place them under the appropriate levels of configuration management, and make them available to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support the development of technical reports such as the Integration engineering plan.
  • Provide architectural support by applying mission level thinking for current and emerging operational and system capabilities.
  • Assist in the planning, design, configuration, and establishment of applications into the defined infrastructure and architecture.
  • Apply a systematic approach in organizing technical resources, activities, and artifacts.
  • Apply unique aspects of scientific, engineering, and specialty engineering principles and techniques to analyze alternatives and incorporate design features which meets requirements.
  • Utilize systematic methods and technical skills to design and guide the development process.
  • Assist with the planning, design, configuration, and transition support for systems integration. Support will require coordination and collaboration with other Federal Agencies.
  • Conduct application architecture initiatives, such as, identifying and classifying application components according to the specific business and performance objectives they support and the technologies they employ.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development and implementation of program strategy to meet goals and objectives. Specifically, the Contractor shall facilitate and enable consideration of cross-component integration and interoperability, lessons learned, and technology commonality.
  • Assist with the employing of process for setting priorities, focusing energy and resources, and strengthening operations to ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establishing agreements around intended outcomes/results and assessing and adjusting the organizations direction in response to a changing environment.

 

Qualifications:  

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least ten (10) years of related experience supporting the DoD
  • High level of proficiency of the English language, both written and oral.
  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of business processes.
  • Must have extensive professional knowledge of market segment/industry/technology/discipline trends. Anticipates future customer, industry, and business trends.
  • Six Sigma certified (preferred)

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top-Secret

  • Remote; Reports to the office when needed (Hanover, MD)
