Job DescriptionJob Description

The Supply Chain Expeditor supports the operational objective of the department by providing support to the supply chain team. This includes but is not limited to procurement, material management, logistics, and ERP maintenance functions.


Role and Responsibilities:

• Basic receipt functions within ERP to assist for materials received at project sites.

• Data collection & distribution of site orders, update of ERP data & communication on status to project team.

• Assist with ERP processes as required to support & work closely with supply chain, production & site teams.

o Processing engineering production information (new releases “ECO” or engineering revisions “ECN”)

o Assigning various attributes to parts during the import process (part class, budget code, vendor, etc..)

o Impact analysis for engineering revisions (EG. Identifying parts already delivered or on order that need to be modified)

o Record activities and assign tasks electronically via on-line portal “ECX Manager”

• Enter and update purchase orders as directed

• Expedite purchase orders as needed

• Resolve receiving issues by working with supply chain and receiving teams

• Monitor and support supply chain team with quality issues related to suppliers

• Work with accounting and supply chain to resolve pricing discrepancies

• Weekly update of general production dates that drive due dates discussed during weekly project materials meetings.

• Assist with monthly presentations and data collecting to be distributed to team

• Purchasing Responsibilities for closeout & legacy projects


Skills and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge and understanding of ERP systems

• Basic knowledge of project management and scheduling

• Strong general computer skills, including working knowledge of email, MS Office, and similar software

• Ability to take direction and complete tasks as assigned

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational & problem solving skills


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, work, collaborate on a computer as needed for project work.

• Ability to stand for periods of time as needed for project work.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management.
