HOW YOU WOULD BE SPENDING YOUR TIME AS A STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Staff Accountant works closely with construction project teams to accurately track and support overall project performance.

  • Works directly with accounting team members including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
  • Reconciles and ensures accuracy for select balance sheet accounts.
  • Accrues sales tax liabilities and processes adjustments and returns monthly.
  • Provides support as needed to project teams to ensure expense reports are submitted on time.
  • Records change orders in the accounting system accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinates with project teams to review projects for completion and imitates the process to close out jobs in the accounting system.
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to ensure smooth project operations.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar.
  • You are an excel expert.
  • You have experience with Sage 300, Concur, and/or Procore software.

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and love working in a collaborative environment.
  • You are detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills.
