About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Material Handler. As part of our team, you will operate multiple types of forklifts, responsible for shipping & receiving warehouse goods, store items in the appropriate areas, and prepare items for shipping.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

This role will have a large impact on the Logistics KPIs. This role will be responsible for shipment accuracy and on-time deliveries. These KPIs are designed to align with our organizational goals and ensure your impactful contributions to our ongoing success.

Your Team

You will be reporting directly to the Material Handling Supervisor. You will collaborate closely with dedicated professionals, each contributing their unique skills and expertise to our success. This position will have zero direct reports but will work closely with the Logistics Technologist. Both team members work closely together to ensure shipping accuracy and all shipments are on time.

What You Will Do
  • Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
  • Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
  • Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
  • Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
  • Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
  • Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
  • Conveying purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply
  • Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
  • Moving materials for R&D and production from various building locations
What You Need
  • 1 year of previous forklift experience
  • Must be able to stay on task with limited supervision
  • Ability to be certified on forklift
What is “Nice to Have”?
  • WMS Experience
  • Aisle Master lift, Narrow Aisle lift, and/or reach truck experience preferred

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
