About This Role:

Michael Bonsby HVAC, Plumbing & Electric is looking for a Lead HVAC Service Technician to supervise technicians and manage service calls effectively. Strong leadership and customer service skills are essential for ensuring quality and satisfaction while overseeing daily operations, staffing, and providing training and advice on technical assignments.

Qualifications

  • Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. 
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areas 
  • Ability to safely climb 300lb load capacity rated ladders with a 30lb tool belt 
  • Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, and peripheral vision with normal depth perception 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises technicians and helpers in installing, maintaining, and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems, ensuring adherence to safety rules and conducting quality-control checks.
  • Oversees daily operations, staffing, and scheduling of technicians to meet customer needs, while assisting with complex assignments and providing training on technical skills and customer service.
  • Conducts regular team meetings to discuss performance, safety practices, and company objectives, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and representing the company ethically.
  • Performs service, maintenance, and installation work as needed, manages inventory for company vehicles, and assists the General Manager with administrative tasks.
  • Manages individual service calls, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
