Summary

Assistants at Empower Learn Create work with classroom lead teachers to assist with implementing a constructivist classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of young children. This role requires a passionate educator who can support and foster a nurturing and stimulating learning atmosphere where children can explore, create, and grow. ELC at UC has a commitment to teaching with a social emotional lens. The environment supports the teacher's role with a beautiful natural play space and innovative art studio. Our hours of operation are 8-5 Monday through Friday.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities based on constructivist principles to promote holistic development in young children.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmnet that encourages curiousity, exploration and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to execute learning experiences that align with the center's educational philosophy and goals.
  • Support the lead teacher in assessing and monitoring children's progress, providing individulaized support and guidance as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and partnerships to support ch ildren's learning and development.


Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with you children in an educational setting.
  • knowledge of constructivist teaching approaches adn their application in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of child development principles and effective practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching.


Nice To Haves

Preferred:
  • Experience in an early childcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with state licensing regulations and early learning standards.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for inspiring young learners.
