FH Faunteroy Community Enrichment Center (FCEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Ward 7 in Washington, DC. Founded in 2013, FCEC honors the legacy of F. Harvey Faunteroy, a prominent Black education advocate and philanthropist who believed in investing in the youth. Faunteroy Center is looking for a PT Mentor for our Gentle Nudge Program. Designed specifically for 6th graders transitioning for middle school, youth will be provided guidance and support to increase the probability of an overall successful transition. Mentor will facilitate Academic Hour before youth engage in a variety of exposures and experiences. Mentor will be required to track attendance and behavior data within a cloud-based program. Mentor must be able to supervise youth during program activity and maintain the Center's climate of trust and safety. Potential employees must be 18 years or older. Candidate will need to pass a thorough background check, including SAM (Sexual Abuse & Molestation).
