Fruit Packer

• Quickly and accurately classify and pack different varieties of stone fruit (e.g. peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, pluots, plumcots, etc.).
• Review fruit samples multiple times throughout the day to ensure proper classification of defects.
• Repack and restyle fruit as needed.
• Provide assistance in other departments, positions, and tasks as needed.

Education and Experience

• 1-3 months of experience within the last year of packing and classifying fresh fruit preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment preferred

Skills

• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read and interpret small numbers and letters
• Physical stamina: Ability to work long shifts, stand in place for long periods of time, and perform highly repetitive tasks, such as grasping fruit, push/pull/lift boxes of various weights, twisting at the neck and waist, walking, climbing stairs, and constantly reaching above and below shoulders

Availability

• Flexible with availability to adjust to our seasonal needs; start and stop times may vary on a daily basis
• Ability to work weekends and holidays throughout the duration of our season from May to September
