Job DescriptionJob Description

As a key team member of the plant, the Shipping Supervisor manages all aspects of the shipping department including personnel, processes, and procedures to meet daily shipping objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping team to meet shipping goals and promote a team atmosphere within the department
  • Coordinate outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of shipments
  • Determine priorities, staff assignments, and shipping methods required to meet schedule
  • Train, develop, and monitor the performance of the staff of 4-6
  • Complete shipments packaged by the department thru various shipping methods
  • Coordinate shipments with customers to multiple locations
  • Ship outgoing supplies to vendors for additional work
  • Follow daily shipping schedule to ensure all shipments are expedited
  • Ensure shipping area is organized and clean at all times
  • Assist with monthly and yearly inventories in the plant
  • Receive all incoming packages and deliver them to appropriate locations
  • Ensure shipping area is organized and clean at all times
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and usage of packing materials
  • Optimize use of shipping personnel to maximize productivity
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fast learner
  • Spanish / English Bi-Lingual is a REQUIREMENT
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours and some weekends as necessary

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a REQUIREMENT
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated individual that is self-directed
  • Computer proficiency required
  • “Can do" attitude with multi-tasking capabilities
