A day as a Human Resources Generalist Cirtec Medical
You will be primarily responsible for the daily functions of the HR department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. You will be the first point of contact to provide employees with information about company policies, benefits, and general support.
In this role, you will perform a wide variety of HR duties to support employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and various types of leave of absence administration.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Key areas of expertise are:
Administer company policies, recruit and hire qualified job applicants, conduct background checks and new hire orientations, and handle employment-related inquiries and disciplinary actions.
Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
Organize and support culture club activities to promote a positive work environment and enhance company culture.
Support managers in performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans, while driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and employee buy-in, and monitor/report on HR metrics such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction.
Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, track mandatory and non-mandatory training, and stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and new technologies.
Complies with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Must Have:
Degree and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with 3-5 years of HR experience.
Industry Experience: Experience working with Engineering and Manufacturing organizations.
Relationship Building: Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
HR Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
Independent Work: Ability to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
Judgment and Adaptability: Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
Professionalism: Customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Good to have:
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with Contract Manufacturing preferred.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
