Bradford Health Services, a leader in providing inpatient and outpatient services supported by research based treatment plans is looking for an experienced clinical trainer to develop and deliver training to our clinical and support professionals who help change lives every day.

Reporting to the VP of Clinical Services & Accreditation and working in coordination with the other members of the clinical team, the Director of Therapeutic Intervention Training will be a key clinical partner in assuring all clinical staff are appropriately trained and supervised in the evidence-based therapeutic practices utilized by the organization (including, but not limited to, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). Responsibilities include the development, training and supervision of clinical interventions within the organization. The applicant must be able to personally deliver the training and supervision of assigned clinical interventions or plan for the outsourcing and delivery of the training to meet organizational needs.


II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of strategic plan for clinical training and supervision.

• Consultation to increase the utilization of evidence-based practice by clinical staff within the organization.

• Develop a methodology to monitor the impact of the aforementioned training, consultation and supervision on programmatic outcomes, to include by not limited to:

o Patient retention

o Staff retention

o Competency & application of evidence-based therapeutic skills

• Collaborate with leadership team to assure joint Corporate goals are met.


III. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:


A. Education and Experience:


• Master’s Degree in Social or Behavioral Science required. Professional licensure is required. If not, must be qualified to make application for ALC, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, or LMFT within 90 days of hire.

• Minimum of two years working experience in addictions treatment.

• Previous training and/or specialized certification in the modality of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); certification is preferred but not required.

• Experience in providing trainings and supervision of clinical intervention preferred

• Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of 12-step programs and principles preferred.

• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality, including a working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 C.F.R. Part 2 with respect to resident identifying information and health information. This position has unrestricted access to identifying information and health information concerning each resident.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, must not appear impaired or disoriented, but rather must appear alert, oriented, and responsive.

D. Other Requirements:


• If recovering, two years of continuous, verifiable sobriety. (See Sobriety Policy.)

• Regular attendance.

• Able to work in a cooperative manner with coworkers, managers, residents, and third parties.

• Pass a criminal background check.
