Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Tax Department as a Tax Operations Intern with a focus on Business Administration. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax operations, working closely with our Tax Administrator to support the department's administrative and operational functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in tax processes, business administration, and a commitment to learning in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Tax Administrator with various administrative tasks, including managing tax documents, maintaining records, and updating client files.
  • Support the preparation and organization of tax-related materials for client meetings and filings.
  • Help with the management of engagement letters, billing preparation, and other critical documentation.
  • Participate in the maintenance and tracking of returns and files, ensuring accuracy and timely processing and filing.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects, such as workflow optimization, client setup procedures, and process improvements.
  • Aid in the creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to tax operations.
  • Provide support during tax season, including assisting with client communications and scheduling.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about department updates and best practices.


Requirements:

Qualifications:
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Availability: Willingness to work Saturdays during the "Tax Season"
Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
