Job DescriptionJob DescriptionArtisan Stoneworks is a leading marble and stone contracting firm with a 25-year track record in high-profile luxury retail, residential and commercial interiors projects.
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to become a full-time member of our team as an Assistant Carpenter/Crating Specialist.
The right person is mechanically inclined, hardworking, on time, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
Previous crate building experience is required.  Previous experience packing and handling fragile, high value finished products such as stone, glass, art, is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and check orders, and pack finished marble panels as directed.
  • Build and/or assemble crates per drawings provided.
  • Complete and maintain required paperwork and inventory transactions, if needed.
  • Check and receive incoming deliveries against purchase orders and distribute to recipient or inventory location.
  • Loading products and materials onto trucks and unloading them back into inventory.
  • Always maintain a neat and clean yard and warehouse.
  • Inspect equipment and tools, clean and maintain, as necessary.
  • Handle, move and store products and materials appropriately.
  • Safely manage, move and store marble slabs using a forklift.
Requirements
  • Valid NYS driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous crate building experience or equivalent.
  • Read simple mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of a tape measure.
  • Forklift Experience (Certification a plus).
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Background Check.
  • Pre-employment assessments (2).
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
