- Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
- Utilize various tools and diagnostic equipment to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Equipment Upgrades and Modifications:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Implement modifications and upgrades to existing equipment to improve performance and reliability.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Report any recurring issues or major repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor for further action.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with production staff to understand equipment issues and production requirements.
- Coordinate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work 3rd shift hours and occasional overtime as needed.
Working Conditions:
- This position involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
