Position Overview:

Join our team as a Paramedic I, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing CT and MRI procedures. This position offers the opportunity to float between our Sugar Land and Friendswood locations, with gas reimbursement provided for your travels. Key Responsibilities:

  • IV Management & Monitoring: Administer IVs and contrast injections in both the CT and MRI departments, while carefully monitoring patients for any reactions to contrast agents.
  • Patient Care: Welcome and guide patients to and from the exam areas, explain procedures, answer questions, and assist techs with patient histories and positioning.
  • Contrast Reactions: Be prepared to administer medications in case of a reaction to contrast.
  • Safety & Infection Control: Ensure all safety protocols and infection control procedures are followed, especially in MRI screening and exam rooms.
  • Supply Management: Track and maintain contrast-related medical supplies, linens, and other essential stock, reporting needs or approaching expiration dates.
  • Flexibility & Support: Assist with administrative duties when needed and maintain flexibility with scheduling.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience & Credentials:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as an EMT-Paramedic.
    • CPR certified and licensed as required.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient imaging procedures.
    • Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in computer systems related to the job.
    • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and communicate effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on patient safety.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hand/finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally lift/push/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between locations.
