  • Recording vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate.

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising.
  • Promoting patient's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest.
  • Ensure that nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with established care plan.
  • Maintain physical environment in a clean, safe, and pleasant manner.
  • Ensure that residents' medical needs are addressed through the delivery of quality nursing care.
  • Ensure that residents' personal care needs are provided for with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and timeliness.
  • Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Must be a graduate of a State-approved STNA program.
  • One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
  • License must be in good standing.
  • Successful completion of state testing for nursing assistants or completion of NATCEP class within past four months.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • State Testing Nurse's Aide (STNA).
  • Must project a positive attitude.
  • Must be willing and able to learn.
  • Ability to read and write and accurately report.
  • Certified in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
