Unit: HH Cardiac Cath Lab
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Arlington, Texas
Shift Type: Days - 10 Hours (4x10's)
Call Requirements: Call is required. Generally 8 to 14 days a month, including weekends.
Need Description:
The Catheterization Laboratory Technician (Cath Lab) will be responsible for assisting in cardiac and vascular procedures within the Cath Lab. The candidate must have experience in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. This position requires flexibility and readiness to be on-call as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EP (Electrophysiology) procedures and monitor patients.
- Scrub and circulate during cardiac and vascular catheterization procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Document procedures and patient information using the EPIC documentation system.
- Provide care and support to patients during procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure patient safety at all times.
Patient Population:
- Cardiac and Vascular
- Experience:
- Must have scrubbing experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Must be able to perform EP and monitor as well as circulate.
- Documentation System:
- Proficiency with EPIC is required.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in Catheterization Laboratory Technology.
- Days: 10 Hours (4x10's)
- Call: Required. Generally 8 to 14 days a month, including weekends.
- Strong ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
- Candidates without scrubbing experience should not be submitted.
