Position Overview: We are seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our veterinarians and technicians in delivering excellent patient care and client service. Key Responsibilities of the Veterinary Assistant

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures. Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately. Perform laboratory procedures such as blood draws, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging. 
• Administer medications and treatments under the direction of veterinarians. 
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and behaviors. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, exam rooms, and kennels. 
• Educate clients on post-care instructions, medications, and preventive health care. 
• Assist with client communication and provide exceptional customer service.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise to be SuccessfulHigh School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred. 
Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology and procedures. 
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
Compassion for animals and dedication to their well-being. 
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
