Job DescriptionJob Description

Description: The Gauge Lab technician is responsible for the calibration and upkeep of all gauges in the plant to ensure conformity to API/Customer specifications.

Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Climate controlled. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe work boots.

Qualifications:

A High School diploma and minimum of 1 year of experience with gauge calibration preferred.

Knowledgeable experience with ITAR and ISO requirements.

Exceptional reading, writing of English as well as solid arithmetic skills.

Ability to organize vast amounts of data and multi-task several priorities with excellent time management.

Capable of working MS Office suite as well as the ability to grasp an ERP System.

Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.

Training on night shift M-W 3pm-2am & Th 3pm-10pm. After training period option of M-Th 6am-4:30pm.


Responsibilities: Maintain organization calibrations records and documents.

Responsible for adhering to RAP policies and procedures.

Responsible for coordinating all internal and external equipment's calibrations.

Responsible to keep and maintain EstiTrack software up to date.

Responsible for keeping operations team aware of all upcoming calibrations.

Serve as a back-up for Gauge Pan and Quality Inspectors when necessary.

Helping with Productions' questions and concerns when necessary.

Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

Responsible for ordering all gauges for the plant.


Activities: Work with 3rd party suppliers to perform external calibrations.

Create Purchase requisitions.

Help train personnel working in the lab, and ensure lab is maintained in impeccable order.

Report any discrepancies to Supervisor.

Follow procedures and ensure proper paperwork is being used.

Verify calibration and working condition of measuring equipment against standards.


Authority and Obligation:

This position has the authority to remove or add any gauge from circulation.

Reports to Quality Manager.

Has the authority to stop the Machining at any time that is deemed necessary for reasons of safety or product quality.
