Job Title:

Sales Associate – Isolation Valves and Actuation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Account Managers and Principals to develop competitive bid packages for capital projects and day to day quotes.
  • Determines selling price of equipment and services available from the Company by utilizing manufacturer supplied tools as well as Company business systems.
  • Evaluate customer requirements and identify opportunities for optimizing margin and expanding scope of products/services supplied.
  • Interact with customers on a day-to-day basis by telephone and email and participate in customer meetings.
  • Provide technical solutions to challenging applications and respond to technical queries from customers.
  • Create and update opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Facilitate order entry by reviewing customer purchase orders, provide order entry instructions to Project Administrator, and setup kick off meetings with the Project Management team.
  • Ensure Project Management team and Operations comply with project performance and documentation requirements.
  • Responds to technical queries from Operations and Project Management teams.
  • Manage change of customer requirements to quotations and active orders reducing non-conformance while driving customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements to team processes and tools that will improve efficiency and increase customer dependency.
  • Asist Account Managers with the implementation of both strategic and tactical sales plans.
  • Ensure Inside Sales Manager is aware of issues that may impact a customer, the team, or the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or combination of applicable education and experience in a customer service environment.
  • Strong Knowledge of product offerings and strong understanding of the industries that the Company serves.

Experience:

  • 5+ plus years Inside Sales experience in an industrial sales environment to include direct customer interface and customer service experience.
  • Experience with MS Office including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and other employees.
  • Strong selling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop price quotations for products. Good Math Skills.

  • Good Follow-through skills to include follow up on quotes and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Experience sizing pneumatic and electric actuators for isolation valves.
  • Experience sizing/selecting controls for pneumatic panels.
  • Experience with large scale capital projects (quotes, order execution, etc.).
  • Solid Mechanical Aptitude.
