Purpose: The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with assigned clients and acting as the primary contact for servicing needs and policy coverage inquiries.

Essential Functions: The major duties of the job that constitute the fundamental tasks and or responsibilities of the position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

1. Responsible for the daily servicing needs of assigned client relationships in accordance with agency standards and compliance, workflows, and associated regulations. Servicing responsibilities include renewals, providing summaries, ordering and issuing binders, certificates, policies, Auto ID cards, proposals, invoicing, and other insurance documents.

2. Identify opportunities to set appointments to conduct needs-based, consultative sales presentations and cross selling opportunities to existing clients

3. Obtain non-marketed renewal quotes from existing carriers, completing renewal processes and handle non-renewal and cancellations for cause

4. Keep abreast of insurance industry changes and communicates changes to clients and team members

5. Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.

Job-Related Qualifications


Education:

Required: Associates Degree

Preferred: Bachelors Degree

Prior Experience:

Required: Years: 3+ Type: Customer Service or Account Management experience in the Insurance

industry

Preferred: Years: 5+ Type: Customer Service or Account Management experience in the Insurance

industry

Licenses or Accreditation:

Required: New York State Property/Casualty Brokers License

1. Ability to develop a knowledge and understanding of all insurance products

2. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new and existing company software; Working knowledge of insurance agency management systems including EPIC
