$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:Job responsibilities/duties:
- Ensure patient's comfort during procedures
- Preparing operatories for treatment
- Sterilizing instruments
- Directly assist hygienist during procedures
- Review the Hygienist schedule and help maintain patient flow throughout the day
- Take x-rays and intraoral photos
- Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctor’s diagnosis
- Scheduling patients
- Providing patient education and post-operative instruction
- Dental charting and coding
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns as necessary
- Ordering supplies and maintaining budgets
- Administrative tasks such as answering phones, calling labs, and patient follow-up calls
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment
- Accurately document and maintain Patient Health Information
- Collaboration with team-members
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Radiology Certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in dental patient management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability
