Location: Bridgeport, CT (fully on-site)
Pay Rate: $70K-$80K/year Reports to: Company President Duties:
  • Provide administrative support to President, VP, others as needed.
  • First point of contact for injury and accident reporting, documenting the incident and investigation process.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on a regular schedule. Maintain files, databases, and archives of relevant records.
  • Prepare presentation materials as needed to support sales and senior management. Utilize MS Word, MS Excel and become proficient with specialized CRM software.
  • Act as gatekeeper for both internal and external requests. Screens calls and responds to or routes routine inquiries from external or internal sources with appropriate correspondence or other messaging. Schedules and coordinates meetings, travel, and other group activities.
  • Serve as administrator for several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, performance management company wide, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll and time reporting records, and all employee records.
  • Work with PEO on administration of benefits, acting as first point of contact inhouse for any employee issues, open enrollment, onboarding and terminations.
  • Work with President to communicate organizational policies and programs, ensuring labor law and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • SHRM training
  • 5+ years of experience.
Work environment:5th generation distribution company, blue collar workforce, 50 – 100 employees. High emphasis throughout the organization on confidentiality, respect for others, quality, accuracy, superior service to customers, ability to work independently / seek out advice as appropriate, work well on teams, all departments work to support each other’s success.Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately
