The Workforce Group Team is currently seeking are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our logistics operations during disaster events. As a Warehouse Supervisor in our Emergency Response Reservist Cadre Team, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations during emergency deployments. Your role will involve overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient and effective logistics support.


Availability:

Ideal candidates for these response missions will be available to deploy within 48 to 72 hours of notification. These are contract positions and, if activated, will require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment during disaster response operations.
  • Ensure all inventory is accurately tracked and documented, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with other emergency response teams, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement warehouse procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and submit reports on warehouse activities and inventory levels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in emergency or disaster response settings. Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Willingness to be on emergency standby and deployed at short notice.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and potentially hazardous environments. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed during emergency deployments. Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
