RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minimum of 35 outbound calls, quotes, samples on daily basis.
  • Respond within 2 hours to customer inquiries
  • Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities
  • Coordinate with the Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report
  • Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Ensure orders, samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time
  • Responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items
  • Report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses
  • Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes
  • Ensure that the Reid/Essentra service proposition is being executed on a daily basis
  • Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends
  • Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings



QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in an industrial, distribution or manufacturing organization
  • Must be willing to commute to our office in Norton, Shores, MI.
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • An outgoing, motivated inside sales professional with a track record of success.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience actively using a CRM tool.
  • MS Office proficient.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Has a basic understanding of products and applications
