Summary

Licensed architect with 3–5 years’ of relevant experience. Fully competent in all conventional aspects of

architecture. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of

architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. Performs analyses of design, planning and

occupancy studies, and limited design layouts. Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant

data. May assist in writing reports and specifications. Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and

calculations.

Requirements

Essential Functions and Competencies

1. Responsible for limited technical design aspects of an assigned project including but not limited to

investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solution.

2. Perform assignments under direction with limited responsibility.

3. Develop and or lead design efforts of limited scope and complexity.

4. Communicates with engineers and consultants to ensure an integrated and coordinated design.

5. Participate in client meetings in a supporting role.

6. Collaborates with team members.

7. Ability to make independent judgement in evaluation, selection and adaptation.

8. Ability to solve problems independently.

9. Manage aspects of larger more complex projects.

10. Versed in applicable building codes and accessibility requirements.

11. Working understanding of routine technical details. May receives technical guidance on unusual or

complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans.

12. Ability to effectively use standard industry design and production software programs (Revit, Autocad,

Rhino, SketchUp or similar) to complete project tasks. .
