After School Child Care Site Director (part time)

*This position is currently eligible for a $500 Hiring Bonus You will receive $250 up front and the remaining $250 after 6 months of active work.

Location: Vanguard Classical (West location), Yosemite St, Denver, CO, 80230

Schedule: No Weekends Monday-Friday. We operate Mondays (full day) from 6:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday-Friday from 3:30pm-6:00pm.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Must meet one of the following qualifications per CO licensing regulations:
    • completed a bachelor's degree (in a related field, such as recreation, outdoor education, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field)
    • 2 years of college education and 6 months (910 hours) of *satisfactory and verifiable experience
    • 3 years of *satisfactory and verifiable experience, along with 6+ semester hours or college education OR 40 clock hours of training in course work applicable to school-age children*satisfactory and verifiable experience must have occurred after you were 18 years or older and must be for care/supervision of children 4 years or older.
  • Preferred at least 21 years old
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by CO childcare licensing regulations

Pay & Benefits:

  • $23.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on education)

As an AlphaBEST Captain, you'll be trained to do the following:

  • Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more
  • Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
  • Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site.
