JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring manufactured product meets quality specifications while safely handling and palletizing product to inventory.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set up, operate, and adjust handling and packaging equipment, from the kiln to finish, of the daily production cycle.
  • Assist in all aspects of concrete masonry production line.
  • Control and adjust machine settings, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and assist in repairs as needed.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs. Alert supervisor about machine maintenance and repair issues in a timely fashion.
  • Assist to achieve weekly and monthly production goals while adhering to strong quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • Inspection of product, once exiting the kiln, and take any required corrective actions to ensure only quality product is yarded to inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production area.
  • Communicate with supervisor and fellow team members on safety, quality, production, equipment and maintenance.
  • Follow directives from the line-lead and management.
Requirements:


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate a forklift a plus.
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
  • Ability to work overtime.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
  • The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
  • Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.


PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
