The Block Machine Operator ensures safe and efficient production of our product.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Set up, operate, adjust and maintain block machine; batching, handling and packaging equipment from start to finish of the daily production cycle.Control and adjust machine settings, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.Troubleshoot and perform repairs.Achieve weekly and monthly production goals while adhering to strong quality standards.Inspection of product, both finished and pre-finished, and take required corrective actions as necessary.Communicate with supervisor and fellow team members on safety, quality, production, equipment and maintenance. RequirementsQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.Strong attention to detail.Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.Mechanically inclined. Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills a plus.Ability to operate a forklift a plus.Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime during peak season.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery. PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.ADDITIONAL INFO:Position Type: Full-TimeClassification: Non-ExemptSupervisory Status: Non-SupervisorDuties, responsibilities, and work activities may evolve or change as business necessitates.
