JOB TITLE: IT Support Engineer

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

REPORTING TO: COO

 

SUMMARY:

The IT Support Engineer at Piasecki Aircraft Corporation is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and administration of the organization's computing and technology systems. They assist in ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and implementing IT security measures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement network security tools and protocols in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and security systems.
  • Assist in managing IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding and offboarding procedures for new users, including providing training and documentation.
  • Manage and update company web and SharePoint sites.
  • Deploy and maintain end-user devices, including imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Provide advanced technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and video conferencing equipment.
  • Manage IT assets, including inventory management, software licenses, and hardware warranties.
  • Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and IT services based on business needs.
  • Administer Office 365 environment, including Active Directory management, security controls, and SharePoint configuration.
  • Support Windows servers and desktops, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and maintain network switches and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Conduct server and security audits, identifying and resolving vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity incident response policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders to address technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 administration and applications.
  • Experience with Windows server and desktop operating systems.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

 

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) a plus.
