Position Description:
Distinctive Schools is looking for a Part-Time Bus Driver that will share a commitment to ensuring that every child is transported safely and receives support to ensure their full potential:
Pick up students at stops along established routes and drop them off at school and designated after-school location
Transport students and faculty to special events, such as field trips or sporting event
Perform trips for other schools within the network, such as covering for routes, school field trips, extracurricular activities, and after-school programs.
Must be reasonably expected to travel distances of up to 100 miles and remain seated in a behind-the-wheel position for extended periods of time.
Willingness to work a split shift with varying hours and maintain a flexible schedule (i.e., morning route, afternoon route, field trips in between).
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must possess physical ability to perform all required work
Maintain a professional relationship with supervisors, staff, parents, students and the public
Work independently and in teams to complete job duties and assignments in a timely manner with limited supervision
Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B) Required
(P) Passenger Endorsement, (S) School Bus Endorsement
School Bus Permit (SBP) required
Successful background check
Good driving skills and record
Must be able to pass a Physical and DOT Drug Screening
