The main function of a Compliance Program Manager (PM) for Accessories is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, product roll-out, etc, or any other non-IT-based project. This role will function as part of a team embedded in the product development of accessories, gathering, and communications requirements while tracking important program milestones. Compliance PM is expected to have a good understanding of consumer electronics, and analytical testing, demonstrated experience in program management, and has worked in a collaborative cross-functional, fast-paced environment.Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals, and direct the integration of technical activities.
  • Clear and effective communication of HW Compliance goals and findings with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Confer with management, production, and cross-functional teams to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Review and recommend or approve compliance plans.
  • Direct, review and approve product designs and changes that impact compliance.
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to prioritize programs and issues to meet timelines within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of consumer electronics products.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Google Suite, etc.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the consumer electronics industry.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
