Job DescriptionJob Description

DIRECT HIRE: Amazing opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic, for the Madison, WI. area.  Relocation assistance is provided for the right candidate, if not local to the area. 

Salary: $28hr - $35hr (based on experience)
Base Hours: M - F, 7am - 3:30pm

Diesel Mechanic Requirements:

  • Running diagnostic tests on Mixer Trucks
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results
  • Replacing damaged or broken components
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems
  • Performing preventative maintenance on Mixer Trucks
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
  • Maintaining a parts inventory
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • Will consider recent graduates of an accredited diesel program
  • ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL preferred, not essential)
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
  • Good IT and diagnostic skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Must possess own tools
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
