MONTANA CONSTRUCTION is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental & Safety Coordinator to join our team. As the Environmental & Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing safety programs to create a safe and healthy work environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement environmental and safety policies and procedures to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Maintain and update safety records, including incident reports, training documentation, and inspection records.
  • Stay current with changes in environmental and safety regulations and communicate updates to management and employees.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Must be willing to drive to and from NJ job site locations.

Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental and safety management.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Strong understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30
  • Valid Driver's License
