Summary of Position
The Harvest Associate III serves in the pistachio grading operation during the annual pistachio
harvest. The Harvest Associate III performs a variety of established functions to grade and process
pistachio samples used to calculate compensation to Grower Partners. The Harvest Associate III plays a vital role in the overall goals of the Harvest Operations Department.
Control Room Operator
• Operate a Microsoft Windows computer operating system with human-machine interface or “HMI” software.
• Monitor harvest video system to respond to issues regarding product flow through the huller.
• Respond to multiple instructions under the direction of the Harvest Operations Supervisor to adjust various machinery through HMI.
• Communicate with various personnel such as machine operators, maintenance personnel and supervisor concerning the daily operations of the huller.
• Record various data regarding the operation of the huller, including but not limited to the downtime,
temperature, and speed readings.
Critical Skills
• All “Task Level I & II” Critical Skills.
• Perform math functions at a HS level.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Communicate effectively in writing to include: emails, letters, presentations, etc.
• Self-discipline to stay on task and meet necessary deadlines provided by leader.
