Job Overview


This is a Full-Time position requiring availability Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. The first two weeks will be a Part-time status or until training has been completed. 

 

Under the direction of the Managing Director, the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, supervision and direction to the Personal Care Attendants (PCA’s) that provide Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (ADL/IADL) services of Innovative Integrated Health Participants (PTPs). The PCA Program Supervisor will ensure both compliance with Minnesota Department of Human Services (MN DHS) regulations and the highest standards of care. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure program adherence to MN DHS standards and regulations.
  • Client Referral Follow-up: Follow up with client referrals, verify PCA service approval, and gather all required documentation from clients and case managers.
  • Staffing Management: Oversee staffing for PCA Traditional Choice and Traditional. Ensure newly onboarded staff are trained and integrated into the program effectively.
  • Program Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff and client files. Manage the affiliation process, add staff to Procentive and HHA, and keep schedules, care plans, and personal information current.
  • HHA (Home Health Aide) Platform Management: Assist PCAs with HHA registration and training. Address any HHA-related inquiries or issues, correct hours, and document reasons as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of client care plans and PCA documentation. Ensure the quality of care provided by PCAs meets the highest standards.
  • Client Relationship Management: Regularly check in with clients to confirm that services are being delivered as required. Document these interactions comprehensively.
  • Reporting: Provide timely reports to the Program director and relevant authorities on program activities, compliance, and client feedback.

  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks
  • Ability to deal with ongoing change
  • Performs monthly, quarterly and annual evaluations of Personal Care Attendants, including on-site visits for observation and evaluation of care delivery
  • Promotes inter-agency and intra-agency communication to assure appropriate participant care
  • Enforces Homecare services in compliance with WeCare's People Centered Care philosophy, policies and procedures; in accordance with Federal and State licensing laws and regulations
  • Maintains current knowledge through attendance at in-services and continuing education programs
  • Assists in the implementation and oversight of WeCare's Homecare performance improvement plan
  • Maintains respectful and professional conduct in the participant’s home.
  • Follows and abides by WeCare's policies and produces as established

  • Excellent planning and supervision abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with staff, elderly, public and private agencies, governmental officials, providers of services, and peers.
  • Energetic, well organized, dependable, flexible, and resourceful.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work the schedule as outlined with reliability



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a PCA or similar healthcare program.
  • An understanding of MN DHS regulations and guidelines for PCA services.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in healthcare software, including HHA and Procentive, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
