Hornig Companies seeks a full-time Appliance Repair Technician to respond to work orders at a multi-site environment in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and surrounding areas. Gas/mileage provided.

What are some of the things I would do?

· Work at multiple properties in the Minneapolis/St. Paul suburban areas.

· Install, service, repair and inspect various household appliances including but not limited to refrigerators, dishwashers, air conditioners, ranges, etc.

· Accurately diagnose and repair appliances and equipment.

· Communicate with residents regarding repairs in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies’ customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines.

· Promote safety and be efficient in work practices.

What should I bring to the team?

  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Valid Driver’s License and meet car insurance requirements
  • Ability to work rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to operate applicable phone applications for work orders, time allocation, and information look-up
  • Ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Prior Multi-housing experience preferred
