Salary: $43 per hour

Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

Shift Details:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Rotating Weekends)
  • Days Per Week: 3
  • Total Hours Per Week: 36



Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled and flexible Float Pool RN for the Medical Surgical unit in Gainesville, Florida. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to provide care across various units, gaining diverse experience while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team. Your primary responsibilities will include serving as an advocate for patients and their families, making nursing assessments, and developing and implementing care plans aimed at continuous improvement. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in dynamic environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, confidentiality, and compassionate care.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and diagnoses to create and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide high-quality care with a focus on continuous improvement and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by floating between various units within the hospital as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 2 years).
  • Flexibility to float between multiple units within the hospital.
  • Active RN license in the state of Florida, or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must pass AHCA Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting.
