Mainframe Programmer Level V

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Natural Mainframe Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Natural programming language and mainframe environments, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and expertise in maintaining and developing mainframe applications.

1. Key skill - Ability to program in Natural or COBOL language and build and test the forms in mainframe

2. Responsible for generating, printing the forms in the mainframe system and pdf version

3. Monitor the printed forms in the mainframe post implementation in production

4. Document process steps for implementing the forms in mainframe

5. Closely works with project team and maintenance staff on deliverables

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using Natural programming language. Implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Maintenance: Support and enhance existing mainframe applications, including debugging and resolving production issues, and performing system upgrades.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, system architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for application design, coding standards, and system operations.
  • Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure software meets business requirements and quality standards.
  • Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for mainframe applications and related systems.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all programming and system practices comply with company policies and industry regulations.
