Connectivity Point is currently looking for a full-time AV Commissioning Specialist to support the Audio-Visual Solutions division of Connectivity Point.

The Opportunity: This full-time role offers a unique blend of teamwork and independence, allowing you to thrive in a dynamic work environment. This position will offer the opportunity to work closely with experienced AV engineers as you become a valued member of our Audio-Visual solutions team.

The primary role of the AV Commissioning Specialist is to troubleshoot, identify, escalate, and resolve complex Audio-visual problems for our customers. The AV Commissioning Specialist is responsible for the final testing and commissioning of audio-visual systems. This position requires the ability to provide technical/management and leadership on major tasks of technology assignments. Complete all phases of the project's installation including, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer support during field visits or dispatches, diagnosing errors or technical problems, and determining proper solutions. The areas of expertise are varied and require advanced technical knowledge of audio-visual systems including installation, programming, cabling, and testing of low voltage and av products.

AV Commissioning Specialist primarily performs these services at our customer's facilities. A strong, comprehensive background in electronics, computers, IT networks, and audiovisual industry best practices is preferred. This position requires diligence, punctuality, and effective communication skills.

Must-haves in a candidate:

  • A High School degree or equivalent, a formal education in electronics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of AV experience preferred.
  • Proficient in reading schematic audio-visual drawings and architectural blueprints.
  • Experience with testing control systems and troubleshooting Extron/Crestron and Biamp DSP systems.
  • A people person who is comfortable interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to perform or assist with bench-testing equipment before onsite deployments.
  • Test point-to-point functionality of systems before turning them over to the customer and be capable of providing end-user training to said customer.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capable of understanding IP networking and have advanced PC proficiency.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and scissor lifts.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Must possess good decision-making skills, be highly organized and meticulous.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
