Japanese English Bilingual Accounting Specialist

Overview:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Your role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and reports, maintaining vendor and customer records, and supporting the accounting team in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks:
Process packing slips within one hour of receiving the request from the sales staff.
Enter vendor invoices into Sage upon receipt.
Record deposits received from customers and take checks to First Horizon as needed.
Input credit card receipts from employees.
Check mail daily.
Complete purchase orders within one day of receipt from sales staff.
Weekly Tasks:
Print and reconcile Comdata Master Card invoices from Copay website every Monday.
Pay all bills due every Tuesday, including payments to local vendors.
Send customers' invoices located in the packing slip request binder by Friday each week.
Monthly Tasks:
Enter invoices from Japan into the Aged Payable report and send to Japan by the 1st of every month.
Print bank statements from First Horizon website around the 1st of every month.
Send customers' statements by the 5th of every month.
Email Inventory Stock Status Report, Items Sold to Customers, and Sales Order Register to sales staff by the 10th of every month.
Transfer Sales Backorder Report information to Excel and send it to sales staff on the 1st of every month.
Transfer Vendor Ledger to Excel and save by the 10th of every month.
Prepare and submit financial statements and reports by the 20th of every month, unless otherwise requested by management.
Additional Monthly Tasks:
Submit SNA Time Sheet by the 20th of every month and distribute to each office.
Enter payroll information into Sage upon receipt from Vice President and prepare bank transfer request.
Enter 401K data onto the Principal website by two days before the end of the month.
Prepare wire transfer request and bank account transfer request for payment to Japan by the last day of the month.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
