If so, we are seeking a Forklift Operator II, who will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations and production through transferring, storing, rotating, picking, and shipping, both physically and through the company ERP system.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operate forklift, hand truck / warehouse carts, pallet jack, and/or other equipment in a professional and safe manner
  • Assist in training and mentoring new warehouse employees
  • Organize and pick all orders based on requested ship date, with a high degree of quality and accuracy
  • Maintain an accurate account of inventory; manage inventory levels within the warehouse, performing cycle counts as needed
  • Use company ERP system to replenish, restock, and rotate all finished items, components, and packing material to ensure that all merchandise will be used in FIFO
  • May prepare billing processes and paperwork for warehouse and drop ship orders
  • Transfer supplies from department to department to meet production or shipping demand
  • Properly store and label all materials and finished product
  • Notify leadership of non-compliant ware
  • Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized to cGMP standards
  • Comply with all ISO standards
  • Support company and branch metrics
  • Fulfill the employee portion of the Berlin Values
  • Other tasks as required


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of previous warehouse and forklift operator experience required, including standup forklift and order picking.
  • Required to take and pass the Company Forklift Certification program, which ensures you will be able to operate a forklift in accordance with Berlin Packaging’s safety guidelines. Failure to pass the exam results in the Company ending your employment.
  • Able to operate all powered industrial trucks in the warehouse while modeling safe work practices.
  • Ability to complete tasks such as scanning, picking, packing, and LTLs and solve problems with high attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to train new hires and others on processes.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to learn.
  • Positive attitude and contributes to a positive team culture.
  • Self-motivated; reliable, with strong initiative and results orientation.


Working Environment and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift/move boxes weighing up to 20lbs and occasionally lift/ move boxes and/or pallets up to 45lbs through warehouse.
